Feel fortunate to pickup a 1972 340 with X heads that has been freshly rebuilt!  The seller had offers from all over the world, but they needed shipping which he was not in a position to accommodate.

Need to decide whether to put a carburetor on it or go with a FiTech or Edelbrock efi.

It will likely be my next winters project unless I really get moving on another project already in process.

What's the Vin number on it. My 71 is a very late build and was from that area

I would consider the Holley Sniper system .
Great find !

I am running Fitech and I don't like their handheld. Holley makes their easier and fool proof for install when you also using their distributor and ignition system doing timing control. I also read that their tech supports is superior. Both have the ECU on the throttle body. When install, check to see if you have the height for an insulating base gasket. It will help the electronic to live longer and avoid hard or no restart after you shut off a hot engine. I did that about 2 months ago and the problem went away.
