Spray Bomb Paint Mopar Orange

Wanted to hear if others have used this brand/p/n and what they thought on it's pantone.

I want to do some minor touch ups in the front of the engine/water pump area so I bought it.

I heard it's a close match.

I have not heard of it, but maybe others have. Spray some in a bottle cap or similar and use a q-tip or small paint brush to apply a test match where it can easily be wiped off if not close enough in color.

I like the way that bellhousing turned out.  I used the Dupicolor Hemi Orange on a few brackets and it is OK at best.  I'll have to try that Plastikote on the valve covers and such.

It seems to me the Duplicolour sprayed and covered like water. But the other Duplicolour hues worked well for me.

These rattle can/spray bombs are risky.

They just don't have the elasticity or the correct pan tone like they used to back in the 80's-90's.

I remember Mopar spray on paint was dead on.
No way could you talk me to use it again.

Yes: I like spraying engines with Acrylic Enamel but the spray bombs are needed in a pinch.

Exactly.  I had to put on numerous very thin coats to get it to look even OK.

I'm not sure what Indy sprayed the 572 with in the above photo but it looks horrible to me, especially as they charged Greg for painting it as well.

I agree. The Direct Connection sprays were the best.

Street Hemi Orange or Race Hemi Orange?
One is a little redder than the other.
Have to go pull the can out and look to see which one I used on my 340.

I did some very light touch ups near and  around the thermostat.
It's a nice pan tone match but is a bit more glossy.

If you like a wet glossy look, then this paint is good to use.
If you want a dead on match, then you have to use Roger Gibson's paint.

Anyone have experience the new Mopar street Hemi spray bombs? I just used their rallye wheel paint and liked it.
