Are there specs anywhere listing the hole size and depth so a guy can check the crank when installing a different engine or changing the crank?

Good question......I know it's more than 1 1/2"

I don't have specs handy but anyone with a crank out can measure it , It has to be 1.25- 1.5 " in depth

A 4 speed crank isn't deeper than that?

After a few interesting experiences, pilot hole depth is one thing I check with a caliper when I bolt the bellhousing on. I think nothing of zipcutting a shiver off the input shaft if necessary.
