Clearance to drive shaft

I'm finishing installing my TTI exhaust and wanted to see how much clearance would be considered adequate where the mufflers come close the universal joint. I picked this system up used at carlise 2 years ago and I don't have any instructions.

I would jack the rear up then support the rear on stands to allow you to move the rear axle through it's range while checking the clearance you would need at least 1 inch I would think.

the u joint will move vertically but side to side very little as the leaf srpings are very hard to distort sideways 3/4 " should be enough

Thanks Guys. I might need to twist my mufflers a little to give them  some more clearance.
