Sears was our go to store back in the day. Brings back many memories.

Always likes Sears.
Bought most of my tools and even the tool boxes there in the 70's that I still have today.
Miss the days when Craftsman tools were USA made.
Sad day for Sears; the hedge fund that bought the company drained assets and starved the stores.

Screwdrivers, adjustable wrenches, punches, pin setters and drifts are all still made in the USA. The plant is a few miles up the road from me.

In the 70's and 80's we lived near Sears so when I was laying under a Mopar and needed a tool I'd make the trip and back in not too much time. Back then their tools were good mid range for a decent price. Sad to see them go but time stops for no one and change is inevitable.

Do you know the car? or just a photo?  Looks an awful lot like a race car that left my area in the late 80's... Fifth digit of the VIN was "R".......

Cool, I always wondered what became of it.... Dempsey Griffith use to own it, for sale for a long time asking 10K..... Had all the normal race mods but could have been put back if someone wanted to....   It sat outside not far from me here in Modesto for years....

Do you know if it's still a race car or if it got restored?
