Funny they all had vinyl tops.  That would be the first thing I would strip off!

It was a cost and time saving measure to save time doing finish body work on them. I agree, a vinyl roof is a strange thing to have on a race car.

My 67 GTX in 1976. Air shocks removed, Angel hair removed from headliner and seat backs, painted and on her way back to beautiful. 4 options, PDB, tinted glass, radio and buffed silver paint.
