I would bet that one had the chrome trim around the tail light area . . .  And they removed it.

That's correct for 73-74 except the bumper filler should be grey and if the car has the tail panel back-out it should also have the M88 tail panel moldings. Both of these things are incorrect on this car making the tail panel black-out look odd.
