I remember traveling around the country,RVing with the family when I was a kid {the 70s } and there was some old pinball machines out there in the campsite game rooms...We even had an arcade in the town I grew up in...The trick was to learn how to bump the machine without tilting it...Some took it better than others !!

Ah, the good ole days. Spent many hours and  :bigmoney: playing, then later on I had to buy a couple of them. Don't remember the names of them today, but they provided endless hours of cheap entertainment with friends and never had any problems with them. Sold them and now I wish I had one or more of them back.  :bricks:

Your pool hall pocket change reminds me of a story.  I bought a 53 Power Wagon project off a guy in CA a few years back.  The guy had the truck since it was a few years old.  He drove it up to Alaska to work as a Surveyor.  He and his buddy would take turns driving and they camped along the way.  Running low on gas money they picked up a hitchhiker and turns out he was really good at playing pool.  So the 3 of them pool sharked their way from bar to bar for gas money the rest of the way up.    8)

For me pinball kind of dovetails in with cars a little bit. In my late teens and early twenties the Drive-in was still open and that's where us car guys hung out. They had 3 machines inside so that kept a guy busy if you were waiting for your buddies. I sure miss those days.

There was several pin ball machines at my local movie theater growing up in ND, I would always go early so I could play before the movie. It never failed; when I was winning or had a pile of turns the movie would be starting...
Mopar or no car!!!

I remember the old pin ball machines in the 70's and 80's, lining up quarters for the next game, and the loud knock when you matched the numbers and won a free game.   :cooldance:
Exactly, except for me, it was the 60's and the games cost a nickel. A 7oz Coke was 7 cents. Jeez I'm gettin' old.

This is too funny, the wife has me on the hunt for a pinball machine for the basement right now! She is really buggin' about it too. Have seen the prices on nice ones or popular ones?  :clueless:

Yes, it's crazy how much Pinball machines go for.   :Thud:  What ones are you looking at?  I've played a few of the new ones and it's freaking fun!

Some of the newer ones can actually go up in value.  I'm still amazed with how much they sell for.  I've been lucky and found some decent deals on the newer ones that I wanted.  Here's my current line up.  I sold the Junk Yard for more then I paid and added a new Metallica.

Looks like they hold their value pretty well.
