This one makes a little more sense at $110K ...but still a lot questionable about it...

@70_440-6Cuda here's a similar car to what you're asking about in your other thread "upgraded with 440+6" sold for $47300.

As the owner of a  orange 340  4spd,  I  would love to see the fender tags on that and the kimmesee sale for 121k.
76 orangewagon sold his which was factory,  i find it hard to believe there are 3 factory shaker 340 4spd orange 71's.
Maybe its time to throw a shaker back on, and some billboards, and sell it.

One thing i know for sure.

Every vehicle at Barratt Jackson has either original or actual miles, original or actual interior, original paint and original actual radios.   Those whose mileage is both actual and original are worth triple the price.   If the fan belt is original its worth four times the amount, and if you have the original dry rotted tires on it...well...then its worth a fortune !!

Can anyone tell me what an unoriginal mile is??   Honestly, its enough to wish that the word original is stricken from the English language and actual also !!

Is belt line molding a factory thing? I don't think I've ever seen it on a 'cuda.

First off, you're likely referring to the "body side moldings" V5X on his orange car which are a factory option on both Cudas and Challengers.

"Belt Line" is the top of the doors. So ALL "BS" Cudas from 1970-74 came from the factory with standard belt moldings. (yes I know some 70's didn't have them) and it was an option on 70-71 Challengers, not 72-74

Thanks for the clarification. Ya, I had V5X on my car but got rid of it, just never remember seeing a pic of a 'cuda with the same treatment.

I watched this one sell.  Couldn't believe that it went for that much.  Two uninformed not very knowledgeable bidders both had to have it and drove up the price.  The seller must have been ecstatic.
It's interesting to note in the buyers description there is no mention of the drivetrain being numbers matching which means it probably isn't.  Rallye Dash, I don't think so.   And I've never seen a leather interior that looked like that.   Typical vinyl interior in my book.  All the '70 leather seats I've seen have vertical pleats.  For a car supposedly "Accomplished by a marque professional," there is so much wrong with this car.  My home garage restoration of my '70 'Cuda is more correct than the one done on this car.

Those are just standard vinyl seats, I like the body colour hood latches, blower motor etc... :looney:

R/T's 4 R/P

I was at B-J today...
That blue AAR clone was a mess, IMO.
That 74 Challenger that sold for $170k was an outrageous amount for a car that should have topped out at 40k! I hope the former owner grabbed his cash and celebrated.
That 70 Charger was not an R/T...
the constant use if 'custom', or 'upgraded', as recent replacement terms for clones, and tributes is just another way to catch the uneducated buyer...it's very disappointing.
