I know, wrong site but wanted to  and share.

My first car was a 73 Charger SE Brougham 400 2 barrel red with white top.  It was 1986, I was 16 and paid 900 dollars for it and parked it at a friends house for the first week so mom wouldn't make me return it  :stop:  I had memories of having to return an RC car with much embarrassment when I was 10.

So I went looking for a Charger .  After my experience with Volo it had to be local so I could put my eyes on it and it couldn't be a project, I don't have the time.  Found this 72 Charger in Sarasota on consignment.   I probably paid too much based on the market for B bodies but I couldn't do a restoration like this for cheaper

The seller listed it as a Rally Tribute,.  Originally a 318 car but now with 400.  I was able to find the original listing from the restorer.  He listed it as a Rallye and he took liberties with the restoration such as the RT badging, day 2 changes he called it.  After I saw it and drove it, it was what I wanted   I bought the car assuming it's a tribute but suspect it could be a Rallye.   Would be interested in others opinions or ways to check.  I put the fender tag in the photos, it looks a little too perfect (repop?) and it has an inspector punch 3?   And a second tag with more inspector punches?   The tag doesn't list much but I read the Lynch cars didn't usually have much on the fender tag

Regardless of any changes, it's a great looking car   Interior is a little funky though

Great looking car.

Nothing wrong with making it an M / P  code car.

Looks super clean!

When your ready to return that interior back to the black and white I'll buy that red console off ya if not painted.

I don't see anything wrong with those fender tags.  I'll post a few pics of some 2-4's for comparison.

Just found these cars last week.
The temperature was 110* so my brain wasn't working the best and the pictures are a little blurry and weird.  My buddy just about heat stroked at half the yard and I was pushing the envelope kinda looking at the whole yard, briefly.

Thanks all.  I am really happy with it and I like the restorers tastes on the  day 2 / clone changes.  That and the way it drives is why I bought it. Originality wasn't important

I even like the tri color interior, maybe not everyone's tastes but for me it fits the car well.  sorry Cuda Hunter,  it's not going anywhere for now, but I'll keep you in mind if anything changes.  Thanks for the tag pics, just feel better knowing one way or the other, don't want to misrepresent.

And yes driving 3 to 4 times a week.  We went for pizza tonight.  :D

Thanks,   There is a story behind the driveway of course.

The county repaved the road 3 years ago and they lifted the road slightly higher than my driveway.   The end result between that and lifting of my my driveway from oak trees resulted in a nice channel of water going straight into the garage.  County of course was never going to fix their error and said my condition preexisting.  15 years in the house and never a drop of water in garage or standing on the driveway until they repaved.

Had to bite the bullet, main driveway was 50 plus years old anyway with numerous cracks.   Did the paver job last year before prices went nuts.  The pavers were actually quite affordable, looks 10 times times better and kind of investment that pays off on the back end.  Neighbors were happy too.

Anyone in Tampa areas that needs pavers look up Larry Couch pavers.  Cheapest quote and did a great job.

NICE !!!!!    In summer of 1972 drove my 70 Challenger (225 slant six with 3 on the floor) golfing.   It was 90 that afternoon, and my Challenger didnt have AC.    So, on my way home stopped at my friendly Dodge dealers and ended up buying a 1972 Dodge Charger SE with 318 automatic and AC.   Car was a B7 blue with black vinyl top and Rally wheels.   Matching blue vinyl interior with floor console.   GORGEOUS CAR...   wish i still had it..
