Soot and NOx emissions are quite a bit worse. New vehicles do a good job in scrubbing the exhaust, the old stuff is pretty darn bad...

I do believe we will always be able to drive our older cars, no matter what regulation is imposed.
You just wont be able to drive using the original motor??
A clean burning 70 challenger/cuda is just a engine swap away. May just come to that!!!
