:iagree: I was just about to post the same.
It's not going good here, some of our family is thinking about moving back to America. We are looking at Idaho

Where are you at now?
California.
Some here jokingly call it The people's republic of California.
California is currently talking about taxing text messages, universal health care for all here, Mandatory voting. You don't get to vote for an opposing party on the ballot always, 2 candidates from the same party.

It seems though the people of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and in the UK. are waking up and have had enough. Well from what I see on the internet news as the government run media censors it for the most part as they don't want those "thoughts/idea's" to spread. Canadians for the most part are like sheep...... :france: :handshake:

The fact is that we have been sheeps for decades!!
Three months ago i was still thinking the nation will never wake up... And it finally happens!
As we say here: " this has been the drop of water that has made the vase overflow"

Let see what happens now....

I can see moving closer to the tropics and enjoying more than 6 months of the year.
This is the only aspect of Canada that I am not crazy about. Being a couple years out from retirement, I'm working on a winter plan which will probably involve RVing in the southern and/or south/western part of the USA in January/February.
But other than that, when I look at all the other aspects of living in Canada, standard of living, level of freedom, political system, human rights, access to e-body parts, I'll stand by my original statement.."There is no place better".

As to the OP's original statement. I just bought a 2018 Cummins Ram. I didn'y pay cash for all of it. But I did plan exactly how I will pay for it before I retire. And it is well within what I can afford. Too many people are too short sighted, borrowing tooo much, spending beyond their means just because the bank will give it to them. Then they live paycheck to paycheck and any little bump in road causes financial stress. :alan2cents:

The only protest I went to was in Ottawa to protest the liberal government's gun control agenda. Flew there, protested, flew back. Make a difference? I don't know. But I tried to.

Brad, would you please post the address of that site? I'd never heard a word about any of this until I read your post. How'd you like that link I sent about what's really going on  in France? Isn't that unbelievable that the main stream media don't report it at all?
In the immortal words of Jimmy Scott- "pace yourself!"

Sounds familiar doesn't it?

So you know the yellow vest in europe is not for the same issues here in Canada. Here its against un immigration "deal"
The UN thing that was signed was about migration. Not immigration. Ya, pretty fine line.
For the most part I don't see it as a bad thing? But I haven't read through all of it for a really informed decision. That is the part that bothers me - the gov't has already signed it before I knew anything about it.
I like the ability to migrate. Whether a country allows me to immigrate is up to them.
For those that feel like reading it.

Has this thread become too political?

Essentially yes this is not what this site is for

So far I have no reason to lock it tho as everyone is civil .
I am trying to show some restraint myself as I get my news from other sources than bought & paid for media & I am so tempted to add 10 pages of posts to this as this highlights all of the reasons I left Can behind & will never return .

Yup: Sorry about my rant. I like to say what's on my mind but I'll try to keep quiet next time. Forum is about cars!
