Video software

For those of you who make videos, what is the best software for making a video using all still shots? I need to splice the pictures together and line it all up to music. I have Windows 7. I currently only have plans to do one video this way so I'm looking for a free download.

Its addicting once you get started, so I predict many more videos to come!

You're right, it is addicting and we're really enjoying it. I do have plans for more videos but the one I'm working on now is using all stills. Can't do much else in the winter. Stay tuned.
