Does anyone know the weight of a bare convertible top frame?  I'm trying to get a shipping estimate.  Do you think they are over 100 lbs?

Thanks!
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Not even close to 100 lbs... Maybe 50-60, probably on the low side to that range...

:iagree: My Dart frame is really light. I'd be shocked if mine was 50lbs.

Thanks!  That gives me a good idea of the shipping cost.

when it comes time to ship it consider breaking it down into the three bows, the front header & the two scissor mechanisms...

Right now it's not so much the weight... its the inches LxWxH.  If you FED or UPS its most likely what they call oversize....  and it adds up quick

I don't know how how accurate it would be but you could stand on a bathroom scale while holding it then just weigh yourself and take the difference. I was thinking of doing that with mine but it's a pain to drag it out.

Heh: That's accurate, that's how I weigh the cat.

I've shipped a few tops via Greyhound in the past and it was usually under $100. It's been a few years but that is by far the best way to ship them if you have one nearby.

I installed mine myself and it was in that 40-50lb mark.
