340 vin number

I have a non numbers matching 340 engine and have now got a pic of the passenger side vin from the engine.  I'm curious to know what the engine came out of originally, the car came with no history.  Is there a way to track down the original car from some Mopar registry?  Seems like there might just be someone out there that might be looking for this engine to match to their car?

Post the vin. @6bblgt  is a great guy to check with once you have a vin.
