We had a beer today at the Horseshoe Tavern on Queen St in Toronto. This historic Toronto music venue opened its doors in 1947 and has hosted Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, the Rolling Stones, The Band, The Tragically Hip, The Foo Fighters and so many more. In the 60s and 70s if you were on the music scene in Toronto this is where you went. It was cool to just be in the place that so many greats have played in. They still have music every night. 78 years and counting.

You can't buy happiness, but you can buy horsepower and that's kind of the same thing.....

Don't know which club in Toronto (sounds like it must have been the Horseshoe), a drummer friend of mine was playing and in the crowd was David Bowie.  Bowie came up to the guitarist afterwards and asked if he wanted to be his musical director and guitarist for his next tour, and also bring the drummer. This would have been late 80s.  By the way, the guitarist was Adrian Belew.
