Before removing my convertible top assembly I'd like to take off the cylinders first. Something tells me to get at the "bracket" on the 1/4 panel side I'll have to pull the actual top frame out first. Is this correct or am I wrong? Any other hints, tips or suggestions.

I know I can just disconnect the lines and have the cylinders come out with the frame but I have my reasons as to why I want to try and keep the hydraulic system sealed and intact.

Remove the pin at the top...collapse the cylinders. Remove the bottom plate and the cylinder will come right out.
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Thank you. Trying to remember what I did 25+ years ago is getting harder & harder.
