Hey Team,

I am thinking about recovering the seats myself. This would be new territory for me. Has anyone ever done it? I have watched a few internet videos and it does not look that hard but it looks like a patient job. I have new seat covers, will likely buy new foam. It's a driver so no Concourse D'elegance here.
Someday I will have a J0b.

The only hard one is the front seat backs. Start with the rear seats. They're pretty easy. Having the cover nice a warm helps stretch the covers . You'll need a hog ring pliers, hog rings and having a heat gun helps.

I just did mine a few months ago after getting quotes of 500-1000 to recover just the front seats. I went with Legendary covers, they were great. Take your time, watch the legendary videos. Baby powder on the foam helps the leather slide on a tad bit easier. Don't even try to do this without hog ring pliers. And get more hog rings then you think you'll need. I missed quite a few times. It was my first time ever upholstering anything and other than a few little wrinkles, came out very well.

I purchased my covers from Legendary.
First time covering seats. Wasn't too bad and turned out really great.
Make sure to get all your supplies first. Then just take it slow and easy.
Good luck.

were they Ill ?? :haha:

I had to think way too long about this.

Like any good model, after a few years of use, they just need to get some botox.

Thanks guys, it looks like this is something I can accomplish myself.
Someday I will have a J0b.

Yes, it is a pretty straight forward process and with patience, definitely a DIY project!
