Anyone had their windows tinted?  I've been quoted $250 to have side and back windows done with carbon-type film for $250, or ceramic-type film for $450.  Just wondering whether the ceramic film is that much better to justify almost twice the price.  Both are life-time guaranteed.  Also curious on experience with percent tint.  I think I prefer a lighter tint, like 50% or so.  Not going for "limo" look, just reduced UV light and heat.  This car is a '69 fastback cuda so the rear window catches a lot of sun and faded the carpet.

I have ceramic tint on -all- of my glass, windshield included, and it is fantastic. The reduced solar load is substantial and I would gladly pay the premium for it again. You wouldn't know the windshield was tinted unless I told you and it makes a pretty large impact on the heat load.

We also installed it on my Father-in-Law's Li'l Red Express, which is all glass and he has nothing but great things to say as well. You can really feel the Texas sun on your neck without the tint in that truck and it's completely gone with the tint.

I have the NC75 tint, I wanted it as clear as possible and let the ceramic do the work.

Thanks Goody, looks great!  So is that a 75% tint?

That's correct, I don't personally care for dark tint on old cars, but I wanted the performance of the ceramic. Between the tint and using lizard skin ceramic insulation under my roof, the car stays very comfortable.
