I saw that US Car Tool tunnel. I have a bunch of USCT... but for A-Body. Less room for everything.
Seems like a lot more tunnel added than is actually needed?

Is the tunnel universal for HP70/HP90/T56 Magnum? I think the latter are all bigger than the HP70.

I like the 15-19 Challenger console too.  :ohyeah:

It is universal. I didn't weld it all the way back, but it looked like it needed the space up front. Even had to grind off a nub on the transmission.

What did you end up doing for Transmission Lines?
Make your own or modify car/truck/jeep lines?

Evil energy PTFE flex lines. They're pretty nice. Just used them for fuel lines on my 69 for the sniper setup.

Just checked USCT's web site. They now offer a Tunnel for A-Body too.
Wasn't there the last time I looked. Not cheap but none of their stuff is.
No HP70 Cross Member for A-Body though.

Doesn't look like an A-Body but it is a different part number...
I would definitely want to see one in an A-Body before I would buy one.
I think I will be making my own anyway. I don't want it any bigger than it needs to be.

It's the same pictures for their E-Body and A-Body tunnels.

A-Body and E-Body tunnels.
Both pictures look like E-Bodies

Thinking I could start with something more like this one from Hurst for $61 bucks.
Probably not big enough but maybe buy 2 to cut and splice together.  :dunno:
Or maybe just fab one completely from sheet metal...

Info
Hurst tunnel patch kit for 1967 - 1976 MOPAR A-Body applications installing a TKO transmission. This patch kit is pre-rolled and tapered and has the hole pre-cut for the shifter stick.

There's these for $198 from Chassis Engineering, .024 Steel
Possibly a good a starting point but with lots left to cut, bend, weld...

#71
This should do the job of cutting out the tunnel.

[emoji106] let me know how it works.

I used a sawsall, then cutoff wheel. Had to hammer up the floor to meet the tunnel for welding.
