Making some progress on my swap, picked up some manifold gaskets yesterday. All resources state the value is about 9 pounds. I feel it is way low, am I off base? I can almost do that with my fingers it seems.

Thanks

For a small block I'm seeing 35ft-lbs. for intake manifold ,  30ft-lbs. exhaust manifold

Edelbrock calls for 25-lbs for their aluminum intake

I've found it's best to re-torque after a heat cycle   :alan2cents:

Not sure what resources you are checking, but manual says 35 ft-lbs for the intake.

Hemi gen iii 6.1 intake, not LA.

And that is what makes me feel like it is way light for an intake.

Even the dealership said 9 ftlbs

What I found was 124 in/lbs, which is just over 10 ft/lbs. That's what I torqued my 6.1L intake to.

Thanks to all, I torqued it down to to about 10 lbs, feels light but I will stick to it.
