This list will be adjusted as they get solved.

1970 Build Sheet
   ROW 3 (HORN PAD) Can't find what "92" is in the left side of the double box.  (02, 21,21 & 92 are the four options)

I think my info on this is still packed away in box at the bottom of the closet from when I moved 5 years ago.

Looking over a few broadcast sheets though...
02 is the regular horn pad on the typical woodgrain wheel in 1970 (also used on the A93 coupe/deputy wheel)
21 is the Challenger rim blow cap with Dodge circle
22 is the Barracuda rim blow cap with the fish
92 was on a T/A coded for a partial horn ring
The partial horn ring pads look a lot like the regular woodgrain pads, but perhaps there is some difference.  Maybe Doug Lepak would know what the difference is.

82 is the regular horn pad on the typical woodgrain wheel in 1971 (also used on the A93 coupe/deputy wheel)
There should be a different code used for the 1971 plain rim blow cap

64 is the regular horn pad from 1972-1974

Thank you!!!!!  :clapping:   92 was one of my missing codes for the build sheet decoder.

That would be a pretty darn rare option especially on a T/A :brainiac:
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

I agree.  I especially take note when I see it on any E-body.  Would love to have one someday. :yes:

Is this the wheel you guys are talking about?

cataclysm80

Yes, that looks like the one.

Do you own it?
Notice any difference between it's hornpad and a normal hornpad?

71GranCoupe

It came with an "Insurance Cheater Car" that I picked up years ago. JH29N with Max Cooling. Never really gave it too much thought.  I knew it was an odd duck. Seen one sell on  :ebay: for like $750 last year.  :bricks: The pad looks identical to the regular, it is the wheel that is different. You can see the numbers on the back of it for reference.

Had to re add the closeup, didn't post the first time.

That's a rare wheel for sure!  That must be the code I was missing!  Trying to make sure this decoder is accurate and your guys help is very much appreciate.

Hold on to that steering wheel @71GranCoupe   Not going to be easy to find another one if you need it.   Or sell it to me and I'll love it, care for it, make sure it's kept warm and safe.  ;)

@cataclysm80  have you seen one in person?

71GranCoupe

Hope it is the one you need. May have some other codes buried somewhere if needed. Let me know. I will probably contact you in the near future, as I am looking for a couple other items. Not rare, just none around here. :thinking:

Cuda Cody

 :thinking:  Want to get this build sheet decoder right.  @cataclysm80  can you look at these and let me know if you see anything that I need to adjust?  This decoder is just for 1970 E-Bodies right now so take that in to consideration, the plan is to do a 1971 next because each year the Build Sheets changed a bit.  I'm referencing the build sheets I've collected copies of and the parts catalog to get all the codes.

Focusing on just the "Steering Wheel" box and the "Horn Pad" box in row 3 of a build sheet.

STEERING WHEEL The first two code:
04 = Standard 3 Spoke Steering Wheel w/ simulated Woodgrain
20 = Rim Blow Steering Wheel
87 = Standard Black 3 Spoke Steering Wheel
92 = Standard 3 Spoke Steering Wheel w/ simulated Woodgrain & Horn Ring

STEERING WHEEL The second set up double codes:
TT = 3 Spoke Padded Cover
TX = Tan & Black (Rimblow)

Horn Pad The first two codes:
02 = Standard Pad
21 = Rim Blow Steering Wheel pad for Challenger
22 = Rim Blow Steering Wheel pad for Barracuda
92 = Horn Pad with Partial Horn Ring

Horn Pad The second set of double codes:
X9 = Black
B5 = Bright Blue
E5 = Red
F8 = Green
K5 = Burnt Orange
T4 = Tan

#12
I'll look more in depth when I get back to my computer (on phone now).
Your broadcast sheet with the 92 horn pad code is a T/A sheet isn't it?
I think you and I both got the 92 code off the same sheet.
Are there any other examples of a 92 code horn pad?

I'm thinking it may be a typo.  9 is next to 0 on they keyboard.
If I remember correctly, there is a correlation between the code and the item part #.
If 92 isn't on other sheets and doesn't match any part numbers, that would support it being a typo.

(EDIT: Nevermind, I wrote this while waiting in line to get a sandwich.  The hunger must have been getting to me.  I see now that the 92 number is stamped directly onto the partial horn ring steering wheel pictured earlier in this thread.  It's definitely not a typo.  92 is the code for the partial horn ring, which apparently is considered to be part of the horn pad.  I guess that makes sense because you can push it to honk the horn.)

cataclysm80

Finding another partial horn ring on a broadcast sheet would also provide some insight.

Cuda Cody

The one I have a copy of is a 318 Challenger.
