So I just bought another cuda, the new one is a BS23J0B  :) :)

The car gets delivered on Friday and I know the interior was changed twice in its life. We all know that build sheets are typically found in the rear seat springs. So I'm pretty sure if it were there, it's long gone.

My question is this...

How many of you have found build sheets in the other areas mentioned? (Behind glove box, headliner, front seats or under carpet)

I've heard many people mention the glove box but I have never witnessed first hand them being there.

Am I hopelessly dreaming that it may be there?

I found one in the front seats, but it was for a different car. :alan2cents:

That reminds me...I need to pass that thing along to someone that may be able to connect it with the current owner.  IIRC, the one I found was for a BH27G0 car.

BTW, congrats on the J code car purchase. :clapping:   Make sure to post some pics when it arrives. :bradsthumb:

Several threads on here discussing broadcast sheets and where people have found them in their cars.

The sheet from the seat was already removed, but look what was behind the glove box!  :bigthumb:  AAR Cuda too.   ;)

In all my years I've never seen one behind a glove box personally either  :crying: front seats mostly....

At least being an AAR...there's hope that if someone has found it, it would be saved. I'm guessing you've already contacted the various registries ?

I'd found a BS for a different T/A behind my T/As back seat early on.  At the time Jeff Coe ran the registry and put me in contact with that car's owner.  The owner suggested other places to look for additional sheets, maybe I'd get lucky and find one for my car?
So I went out to my car and took the backs off the front seats per his advice.  I take the passenger side one off, and see a perfect sheet.  There is a God!  Then I remove it and examine it, it's another sheet for that guys T/A.  Dammit!!!  I end up mailing him 2 sheets for his car, and I still have none.
Oh well, a couple years later my Mr Norms sales paperwork was located, so the car is "pedigreed" pretty well with that even with no broadcast sheet.

I found my cars second sheet in the backrest coils of the driver seat. First was in the typical back seat coils. This was a huge blessing as each sheet had separate spots that the coils had made illegible. Some cars have yielded them from under the carpet but after 9 e Bodies, I've yet to see one there.

This car had two in the seatbacks and two more loose under the carpet.

Yeah this will be my 4th e body. So far not a single BS found anywhere other than back seat.
My Gran Coupe is an early built (October 1969) Las Angeles car, which those cars typically never had build sheets because they tossed them on the assembly line. :dunno:

I'm still surprised there's still cars out there with the sheets hidden in them....ALL the cars I've bought were already picked through and if they had a sheet it was handed to me with the purchased.

My hope is that it may be there because the car was pretty dormant since the late 70's; in a private collection.

My Gran Coupe sat in a barn from 1988 to when I bought it in 2012, if it wasn't an LA built car, I would have really held out hope for a BS.

More than likely, I won't find one, but it would be a nice surprise!

It was born an FF4 green car with auto transmission. I don't have any TA blocks unfortunately, but would love to find mine! Ends in 380 if you know of any TA blocks around. I found a real close one online, off by a few digits, but no luck :(

If you wanted to send me your last few digits I'll keep an eye out for yours while I search for mine.
