Are there any records for E bodies that were designated for show duty? I just recently came across a Y93 ( Show Car Finish B/Less Gas) Cuda, and I am trying to learn more about it. Hoping somebody here may be able to shed some light on the subject.

no official data that I'm aware of - but there is known info collected by people that research numbers & "such" - is more info from your end available?  What year?  What combo?  Early VIN?  other?  etc.

It is a 73 Cuda 340, SPD Aug 4, VIN under 500.

@oldskool    Is there a broadcast sheet that you could post for us to read?
How about the fender tag readout?
Any other information?  Window sticker?

I don't have any specific info on the '73 "PROMO" 'cudas but it sounds like it would be one - US or CANADA spec?  there's a video on youtube where a paint strip place dips one of the '73 or '74 "PROMO" Challengers

Chrysler Corp. had "NEW CAR ANNOUNCEMENT" shows during the month of August where dealership owner & salesmen would get a preview of the cars that were about to show up at their dealerships - here's a '68 invitation & a schedule of the 1972 DODGE US show locations & dates    :unbelievable:   '71 VS '72 model year changeover was EARLY that's why most of the dates are July   :rubeyes:

It is a Canadian spec Cuda. The first Canadian International Autoshow was held in Toronto in 74, so it doesn't fit there.

Chrysler Corp. had their own private shows for dealer principals & salesmen - usually taking place in August

share some specifics of your car - this is most probably its "SHOW" usage

You are likely correct on that assumption. I have hunted for the broadcast sheet every place I could think of, and it's just not there, so your explanation will be the best one for now. I will share more information soon.

Here is the link to the Youtube video about this Cuda if anyone is interested.

@oldskool

cars are not built in VIN sequence order- does it have a door sticker still on it (got picture?) - it was probably built mid-to-late August 1972
car is well OPTIONED for a '73 'cuda, by 1973 the e-body option list was short compared to 1970
there was NO small tachometer for the clock position of the STANDARD dash - the car should have a "RALLYE CLUSTER"

it is a CANADA spec. "NEW CAR ANNOUNCEMENT" promo show car - there were likely 8 identical cars built for that purpose, one for each sales zone in CANADA

Unfortunately, the door sticker is gone. Classic Industries along with many others offer the non rally tach, and I mistakenly assumed it was a replacement part. I found a thread where somebody else had the N85 tach but no A62 rally dash on their fender tag too. I stand corrected on that. Thank you for pointing that out.
