Wow: Yes I believe that buying stuff ASAP helps keep costs down. 12 years ago the fellow probably could have had the car done for 1/4 of the cost now.

And when you haven't spent enough, Visner Engine Development made fifty billet AMC 401 blocks that can be bored and stroked to 499 cu. in with matching heads for a mere $33,000 ( 45 available). Visner also makes a 426 HEMI.

I/4 mile stuff I assume, no water jackets?

IRON MAN

In lieu of the water jackets there are 18 head bolts instead of 14. This implies must use Visner matching heads.

A little Javelin eye candy for you @Brads70.  This a '72 that a friend of mine has been building for about 4 years.  Tonight was his first day running it at a track.

RUNCHARGER

That looks good. There is a 68 AMX body on Kijiji Alberta for $1500 for someone wanting to mod one.

Looks to be missing a bunch of parts. Saw an AMX 390 today at the show, it was a black beauty.

Maybe one of the LA guys could run up and check it out for ya Brad!!!

It's sold now at $5250 but I've seen that one pop up on E-Bay before. I thought about reaching out to member 70RTSE383 as he lives closest but when you factor in shipping costs.... ? I got a couple of quick online quotes for shipping and they came back at around $1500 which seems low. ( Shipped to Buffalo NY)  If it was local it would be in my driveway already.

I get this...
" The listing you're looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you."

The word "listing" is highlighted and when you click on that it goes to the expired listing.

RUNCHARGER

Kijiji has been a bit whacked lately. That Javelin is nice too though.

Chryco Psycho

IMO a 70 Mark Donohue javelin would be the car to own but Brad wants the 71
