My 70 Challenger came with an incorrect wiper motor that had just been placed in the car prior to purchase.  I just updated to the correct 3431077.

Can someone confirm my research on the old motor, going to put up for sale shortly and want to make sure I identify correctly:

"Blue label 2983116 dated 2545 = 1969-70 A/B body car.  Blue label signifies a factory replacement part.  2545 = September 1975 build date."

Also the motor has an E body bulkhead connector as it has a single clip as opposed to the dual clip connector that would fit A/B body.  Someone swapped them out to make it fit an E body?

Finally the rear stud for the linkage is smaller than the 3431077, I'm guessing 5/16 vs 3/8

Just realized also the area where the varnishes goes is raised as opposed to flat.   I assume that's because it's a later replacement or perhaps someone's version of a Frankenstein motor.

Any thoughts on value?  Looks like it was restored, rebuilt just before install.

TIA

Last pic is new motor

Looks like a 73-74 motor which would explain the crank arm

Agreed.  Seems like a mixture of parts.   Don't know i trust the sticker part number.   Will probably list it as a 73 /74 and just disclose the inconsistencies and discount.

The motor is a 73 or later and has the correct parts for the intended application. There is a conversion part that replaces the small drive shaft with a larger one allows it to be used on the 71 and earlier motors. The blue sticker for B-bodies and there is a yellow sticker, not shown, for E-bodies is found on mopar over the counter replacement motors. The sticker covers the original part number of the motor. These stickered motors have been sold to after market parts housings and appear frequently.
The Prestolite motors are basically electricaly and mechanicaly the same from 65 to at least the late 70s. Just different part numbers and small changes for each application.

Thanks, I pulled the sticker back and the part number 3799142 references to 75 -76 Dart / Volare.   Understood on your point it will fit several applications across 1970 - 80 either as is or with minor adjustments.   I just assume most people will value off the "correctness" to their particular application.

Thanks again, still not sure how to price, but thinking around $225 as a recently restored but also previously installed and later year non premium model.   Just looking to get a fair price, can always adjust.
