450-T/A question

I was thinking last night that the T/A was one of the only pre 71 steel wheel cars without wheel covers that came with black wheels . Am I right on this? T/A's came with black 450's and trim rings if they weren't optioned with rally wheels correct?

I believe A12 cars were black steelies only. No wheel covers, no trim rings.

But those weren't the 15x7 450 wheels they were the 15x6 H wheel..... Another case off

I hate to be a smart ass.....but any 1970 car ordered in TX9 with 450's would have black rims...

the T/A was the first car with the hub cap/trim ring combination STANDARD - it wasn't an OPTION on anything until the '71 model year

& yes, up until the 1971 model year the '69 A12 cars, T/As & TX9 cars are the only cars without full wheel covers to receive black wheels
1971 introduced OPTION W12 = hub caps & trim rings (w/black wheels)
& starting around 4/71 all wheels were painted black (NO more body colored wheels)

Thanks Dan: For some reason I thought the trim rings were an option in 70, I knew they were for sure in 71.
