in the process of redoing my brakes, i damaged the clips that keep the parking brake cable attached to the backing plate.  anyone know what the part is called and where i can buy it?  i'm hoping i don't have to buy a complete new cable.

I think they are part of the cable, I doubt they're sold separately. :alan2cents:

are they not the same as the front cable through frame clip?

They are different. A person might be able to make those work possibly if the hole size is the same.

You can run the system without those tabs if you keep your cable relatively tight without too much slack, or you can buy a new cable, they`re relatively cheap. I think they were more important  for transporting the differential assemblies on the assembly line.

I thought they were part of the cable too?   :notsure:

RUNCHARGER

Yes: Factory pressed on, with quite long fingers. I have used old cables with the fingers gone with no ill effects however.
