One other thing to consider; the reinforcement plates that could be added to the bottom of the LCA's. Since they are out of the car; helps with flex for minimal dollars. I am thinking that you will change out the LCA bushings. I bought this kit from Just Suspensions.

They already have the reinforcement plates as well! :bradsthumb:

Add a big sway bar, you won't believe how much nicer it will drive.

:iagree: but beware.... one thing leads to another!

Recommend this one, (I'm using it on mine) but shop around for pricing!

Hotchkiss makes a nice bar but the Hellwig bar is virtually the same with a slightly lower finish quality for half the cost...

So you can have front & rear for less than the cost of just the front from Hotchkiss

I may just go with FF for the bar as well when I order my torsion bars from them. Save on shipping.

The SD Springs link has free shipping....  At least have a look...

Will those larger front sway bars fit through the K-member without issue?

Rdchallenger

Oh damn. In that case I'm all for the SD sway bar and will be adding the rear one as well.

They fit fine, even with the factory skid plate...

1973Barracuda

I ordered one thru SD years ago. Very happy with that bar on my 73.

I installed both front and rear Hellwig on my 70 Barracuda...had no fitment issues. They both installed without any problems and I must say a noticeable difference with handling. Oh, and they look damn sexy  :inlove:

If you lay them next to Hotchkiss bars the shape is virtually the same but the ends where the bushings go on the Hellwig are just squeezed a little flat & a hole is punched through....
The Hotchkiss have nice smooth rounded pockets for the end link bushings... They are nicer..
But I've run plenty of bars with the Hellwig style ends & they always work just fine...  I'm keeping the extra money in my pocket...
