Cuda -71 with 426" Hemi, power steering, the exhaust manifolds are stock (no headers). I need to replace the steering box so need some advice which is the easiest way to get it out?

Prefer not to demont the exhaust manifold, but is it even doable not loosen them? As an alternative, is it doable to get it forward and up after getting the pump out? How have you done?

Well i dont know about dealing with the hemi, but with 383 comes out the bottom no problem. Luckly i found some althread same size as the studs. cut 2 pcs then sloted one end on each. Removed 2 bolts one at a time put althread in place of bolts then removed last bolt then lifted box off studs. then reverse procedure to replace new box. remove althread with flat blade csrewdriver.

I dont remember moving any exhaust (granted moved to level 3 several years ago)     Granted a Chally, but I cant see much difference
