So I have a front end rebuild kit from PST and have been installing it over the past couple of days, I've come to the idler arm and it's much smaller than the original. I have attached two photos measuring the old vs new with a set of calipers and there seems to be about 0.2" difference. The old fits nice and snug into the k-frame, while new has a good amount of slop. Do I need to add washers to shim? Or get a different idler arm?

Is everything else identical ? If so I would just shim it.  :alan2cents:

Spoke with PST, it's a problem they have had before. New idler arm on its way at no cost, just return the "small" one!

Mr Lee

I think i had to shim mine. But hey, if theyre gonna send you a new one, cool.

Remember, wherever you go, there you are.

Being able to shim it sometimes helps if you are close to the torsion bars and have clearance issues ;).
