Power steering column

Could someone please confirm if the length of the power steering column (40.75 inches)is with the coupling attached. I need to un-modify my steering column to install my freshly rebuilt power steering box.Also how much clearance is between the oil pan and center link. I have less than 1/8"  Thanks

From the top of the threaded shaft to the end of the coupler, mine measures 41.5".   This is for a 70 Challenger that originally had a console automatic and power steering.  If you need a different measurement, just let me know.

40.75" should be without the coupler if I recall correctly.

The coupler moves on the shaft at least 1" - 1.5"
