Very nice, although scratching my head trying to understand the other parties reasons or desires for trading this 70 Challenger for your 71 unless your part included a wheel barrel full of cash!

Can we get a least a hint of understanding the other parties willingness to do this deal?

And if not, I have some land I would like to offer up as a trade with him!

reproduction window stickers are a novelty & one needs to be careful how they interpret the presented information

I see plenty of mistakes & the prices are right off Fantasy Island - the biggest error is, CANADA did not use the US gov't mandated Monroney Label  :foul:

Dan, indeed, this is purely for show purposes, I wasn't there in 1970, so I cannot argue too much, but as far as I remember, Canadian cars did have the window sticker like the US cars, but I'll get more info. I'm actually going to visit the dealership that has been closed for 30 years next Spring, but is still there and seems to have kept old records as if they simply locked the door and walked away!
The then-owner is still alive and has promised to let me look for records on my car, which he definitely remembers ordering and selling in 1970.
As far as prices, I'm ok with ballpark numbers, there is only so much info and research you can get for 40$... And Canadian prices were different than US even then.

It's a conversation started, for sure!

Haha, there was definitely some added incentive on my part to get the deal done... I did not hesitate long, although it looked great, and also had lots of options, the 71 was a quickly done restoration with many used parts, and not to stock specs, but the other guy liked the shiny underside, newly-built big block, and he happened to like the 71 better than the 70. Plus he is known to have a very short attention span (he had had the 70 for a little more than 2 weeks, and the 71 has been re-sold already...), so it was the perfect storm!

Some people get bored with their car and want a change, and if you're like me, some people prefer the 1971 model over the 70  :alan2cents:

Yes: Sometimes we like what we like and values don't matter (the way it should be).

Nah, that guy simply has a very short attention span and alway thinks he can make a better deal with the next one! That was actually the third time he had bought and sold that particular car... That is why I had to make a move quick when I saw he had it before it got to another dealer!

Lovely looking A66 you have!

Prefer the side stripe to the butt stripe, even if it's none original.  Looks more sporting.

That's a great opportunity to go though dealer records. Canadian dealers often only kept their records for 7 years which was required by Revenue Canada. Hopefully they never threw Chrysler invoices away. Good luck!

Installed my repro C92 Accessory Floor mats from Legendary...
Funny that I will probably take them out when not at shows to protect them! ;-)

@anlauto , here you go! I also installed the new fender tags, again, great service from Brett at datatags.com!
THere was some questions about C15, but he did have examples in his database to confirm it should be on the tag...

Very nice and cool storied history.
I also vote for the butt stripe to return.
Note if changing is a consideration, the longer the other stripe is on the more likely it will leave a shadow whiteness when removed.
