Now that the show season is starting to wind down, I've started working on my T/A convertible project.  I've been collecting parts all summer.

Today I started the teardown of the 340 I picked up for it.  Very clean inside.  Looks to have been bored .040 already, but the cylinders are still really clean and you can still see the cross honing in them.  Here are some pics.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

I didn't realize they made T/A convertibles.

Mopar never made them.  Any that you see are custom built.  Oh that Alan........   :haha:

Motor looks good. Looking forward to seeing the project progress. I think FM3 with black hood, interior, top and stripes look awesome.
Keep the pics coming

I did say they.  I'll be more clear next time.

Looks like I earned the twit of the day award.  I forgot that 340 standard bore is 4.04.  So it turns out by block has not been bored at all.   :woohoo: :woohoo:

Make it sneaky and put a stroker crank in it.

You always seem to have interesting projects and I'm sure this one will be as well. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Yea it has always amused me that the 340 has a 4.040 bore and the 318 is so much smaller with only 3.910 bore. And then the larger 360 has a smaller 4.00 bore.
If you are replacing a 318 note the drivers side motor mount for 340s and 360s are different.
