Nice right up Mike!    What made you decide to go from 3:91 to 3:73? What are the pro's/cons? Just asking as I have to decide what gear to pick for my Javelin project. Leaning towards 3:73 also ( also with a t56)

Looking to increase low speed traction some and dropping a couple of cruise rpm wouldn't hurt with the close ratio trans.

The difference is nearly unnoticeable, but it's in the right direction for what I'm after.

Not too much is going on, but the car is down for a couple of tweaks in preparation for car show season and Spring weather!

The power steering pump has been sent off to PSC for a warranty rebuild/replacement, I've chased a low whine since it was installed and was never able to clear it up. Hopefully the new/rebuilt pump will knock that out.

New tires have shipped! Regretfully, the tires on the car are way, way too old. Though, they've been stored inside, they're about a decade old. I've ordered some Nitto NT05s to replace them, they should be on next week...hopefully about the time the pump gets back in.

Outside of that, I've swapped gear oil in the diff, it should be good-to-go. Also, I'll be quoting some clear ceramic tint for all of the glass. I expect that to be a major upgrade in hot weather passenger comfort as it cuts 99% of UV ray and ~40% of infrared heat coming through the glass. With that, the a/c should be more efficient AND it keeps UV rays off of my dash, seats and interior!

That would be the top of 5th [out of 6]! 

I think the speedo high score [gps] quits counting at 120, but the ECU will log higher! ...though, I don't think I'll be doing anything like that anytime soon!


Tires will get mounted tomorrow, but I have one more trick up my sleeve to try on these new tires. It'll be a pretty decent change to the aesthetics of the car, that should be done by the weekend. 

New power steering pump is in and bled.

Touched up the alignment. The new front tires are a full 1" taller than my previous tire.
