Stopped by the shop yesterday.
Engine Bay Sanded and polished. Core Support Blacked out.

Next will put the fenders, hood, front valance and trunk lid on, set all the gaps, finish block sanding and then...

How about a 4.5" hole in the core support for air for the CAI...
Harbor Freight Hydraulic Punch Driver and a 4.5" Punch and Die set from Amazon made a nice clean hole in the US Car Tool Core Support. The USCT Core support is about an 1/8" thick.

My part time office for most of the last couple weeks... back to it on Monday.



Some of my staging area. Stainless needs a lot of work and is very time consuming...



Been working on cleaning up all the stainless trim. Learning as I go.
Tedious and time consuming, sometimes frustrating, but every hour I'm not paying someone else's labor rate, is a reduction in the total bill... Seems like it wouldn't be that much but it really adds up fast.
Learned that the buffer can quickly undue hours of work with a single slip... also learned I could fix it though. Folded a piece right in half... Doh!
Was worried it would break when I straightened it but it didn't. I can still tell where I bent it but I doubt anyone else will ever notice it. I'll be glad when I'm all done with the stainless.

Yes polishing trim is tedious....
I am on tail end of polishing trim on a Falcon Sprint. This thing has miles of it....
At least I can say without question, Challenger will be better because of what I have learned on this "test" vehicle.

Brought her home from the paint shop today, Fenders and Fins in Woodinville WA
Now for a lot of assembly to make it run, drive and stop on it's own.

They did and may have done a bit better... 

I did continue to add to the scope, so... yeah it went up from there. 
I also spent a couple weeks there working on my stainless trim, window regulators and other miscellaneous items.
That saved me paying for that work.
It also allowed them to work on other cars so we both benefitted from my working there for a while.
It helps that I retired after 41 years 7 months at Comcast Cable... My last day was 12/16/2022
It sure is nice having 6 Saturdays a week + Sunday.
