You don't need Tig,

Mig is fine enough.

If you have connection with the pinch tong type welder; is a great tool as well.
Great on the wheel well areas.

Most panels on car Mig will be welder of choice.
Tig will get it done much nicer and cleaner (read in less cleanup) when welding pieces not attached to car.
Or if it's on a rotisserie
Or if it's on a lift...
The required foot pedal makes it tough.
Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.
