The paint looks awesome, but why wouldn't you have it fully assembled before painting ? :dunno:

Not sure what you mean @anlauto. I spray valve covers and peripheral brackets, fuel pump, water pump etc (everything that goes orange) off to the side. I find I get less missed areas, better coverage, less runs (if any) by doing it that way.

I would just worry that the heads of all the bolts will get wrench marks and of course the valve cover gaskets, and other gaskets won't have any paint on them as they should if you were going for the "OE Look" ....If it works for you, that's all that matters  :twothumbsup:

 a 440 4bbl E-body should have a Saginaw power steering pump  :alan2cents:

the bracket you have mounting that Federal unit was used on c-bodies & HEMI cars

Correct. That was one of the original parts missing from the car. Going with what I could get until I find better. Same for alternator and starter.
