I have no advice to offer you about the headers.  But your engine looks  :wowzers: :wowzers: :wowzers:

Yea..leave it off

Believe me I have thought about it... I will be doing custom headers in a couple of years, until then this is how it's gonna be, this car has been sitting for 30 years, I want to get it on the road by my birthday. I only get to work on her three days a month, so delays are an issue I can't afford.

Thank you :) I hope it comes out looking sharp when all of the wiring / hoses etc. are in place. It's not a show car, but I do want it to look like I cared about details when I open the hood. I wish I had done the body and paint originally.. The firewall would have had some extra holes welded shut and the air conditioning would have been addressed cleaner than that ugly cover provided by vintage air. Maybe some day I will do the car over again and next level everything at that point.

Got my fans mounted to the radiator

Do you have space to add a plenum to mount the fans? The bottom part of the radiator is not seeing the fan airflow. The fan airflow may also be reduced by being too close to the radiator and having a reduction in total area for air path. I think they make aluminum plenum for electric fans.

My brother is running the same fans the same way. 3100 cfm gets the job done on his ride.

Got one of the headers done.

I have same type setup on mine and it runs rock solid. Upper radiator is where the main heat enters.

Had some fun getting the radiator in tonight. Apparently somebody jacked the car up from the radiator support at one point or another. Nothing a bottle jack and a couple of chunks of 4x4 couldn't fix.

I am getting excited as it comes together.

Anybody have suggestions on washer fluid reservoirs? The factory unit is ugly. I am thinking about mounting a billet tank someplace.

Just a little progress this weekend.. fuel lines getting dialed in for filter / feed to sniper. Spark plug wire guides / wires installed. Should have headers and exhaust done, ECU etc mounted next weekend. Getting close to fire in the hole time. Then it's on to interior / glass, the rest will be trim stuff, bumpers, chrome etc.

Kinda mad I couldn't find my coil bracket anywhere and these things aren't a shelf item at the parts store. $40 for that little bracket and a week of waiting. You know the original will turn up in a week or two. LoL

Passenger side header is wrapped. Just waiting on DEI Black Silicone sealer for the header wrap.

Should have them in the car come Saturday.

Finally, both wrapped, dried and now painted with black high temp silicone spray....

Should be ready to go in by tomorrow.

Didn't get a lot done today.. started mocking up wiring, mounted headers, bolted up MSD box, cleaned interior and started assembling the dash. Had problems with my speakers fitting so had to trim some metal and bend the speaker grills back in to their proper shape so they'd sit correctly on the dash. Need to get my hands on a center speaker cover.

Next up is finish dash and wiring. Should be able to start her after that.
