One of Nick Panaritis' dream has always been to make a correct Vanishing Point Challenger. In all his years in the business, he never had the chance to get his hands on a u-code 4-speed 1970 Challenger, and he finally did a few months ago.
If you follow the videos on hisYouTube channel, you've seen the car, a very rough car to start with, but it got a superb restoration to undo the crappy work.
It was just back in the shop today, and I took some pics as they lowered it on the ''Keeper'' Hemi just for kicks! It will get a built 440 for driving and the original 440 will be correctly restored tobe displayed with the car.
Nick has built a rack to display his Hemi and accessories, it will also include the DANA 60 later on!

That thing was a roach when he picked it up..he was talking about how rare it was being a U code 4speed...I have one in my shop, but it has a hole in the roof....it must be really rare..

Nice looking car already, all shiny and clean looking!  :bravo:

Wow, the body shop really did a great job on that car.  It was in some serious need before. Glad Nick gets to live out his dream!

Is it a real U code 4 speed?  Going through my head it is 1 of 733. Not a lot of those around.

@anlauto not all of us enjoy getting a sunburn through the hole in the roof...but it does have some serious cool points.

Why would you cut a hole in the roof of your U code!  ;)

There were 916 original U code Challenger R/T 4 speeds (not the R/T SE).  I had one once.  Was stupid and sold it.  Ugh.
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.
