door glass instalation

Hi guys are there any links for step by step door glass instalation

removed door glass over 10 years ago going to get all door glass polished then keen to install them.
I have all the parts but would like a step by step guide
And what parts i should replace.

And what ever you do , don't lean the window up against the car door while preparing to install the window. If knowledge comes from f/u then I'm plenty smart enough, although i have several spare glass it was the one the car was born with and none of the other windows have a 70 date code. Please get someone to help.

It's not as complicated as it looks. I hadn't done it for 20 years and I figured it out. Getting the darn glass into the door was the hardest part.

I just did the driver side windows over the holidays. It is not too difficult. Taking the glass in and putting the glass back in is the difficult part. Some instruction says have the front rail on the glass when putting it in the door. I could not do it and ended up getting the rail inside the door unbolted and then slide onto the glass while lowering it into the door. I did it myself but two people will be easier. I also use roofing paper to make the paper washer, stacked and glued multiple layers to build up the thickness to match the original. Originals were brittle and fell apart.

thanks guys I will be sending windows to get polished then see if I have all the bits to start installing the door glass
got my car painted over 10 years ago and going to start asembally this year.
