@jordan you've got me stoked now! I've never been.im a country guy that hates big cities, especially Chicago. I'm in the country outside of Peoria. Anyway, you've changed my outlook. I'll try and remember to wear my e Bodies dark blue t shirt.

I'll do the same, but it may not be exactly t shirt weather in late November in Chicago.
It will be nice and warm inside! ;-)
But yeah, most years it's where I see the first snow!

Well we already have had our first significant snowfall here, close to 4" on Halloween.  And unseasonably cold at least for the next week with rain/snow forecast midweek.  I'm keeping my hopes up that this early winterish weather will mean we will get a respite for the second half of November so we get sunny and decent temperatures for the show!

Ill be coming up from Peoria and trust me, I know the risks. Many in-laws up there and I've made the trek through ice and snow on many occasions. I hope it's good. It'll be nice to meet some members.

I went to the employee meeting today and it was great seeing Bob and Vicki Aston, Ryan and many of the rest of the crew.  Another great show in store.  It was mentioned that 2 E body hemi convertibles would be there, a Challenger and a '71 cuda "from a collection in New York", but I don't know which one that is.
A recently discovered aluminum front end Mr Norms race car will be in the barn finds display.  The '69 tribute display and Aero Warriors display promise to be big highlights too.
Once again my role over the weekend will be guarding the ballroom/stage area in the back.  Last year a few members stopped by to say hi and I enjoyed having a chance to meet people I've talked to on the forums, so if you get a chance stop by.
I don't know for certain where my car is displayed, but believe my car will be in Mopar Alley, which is near the stage so will be nice to be close to it if that's the case.
Really looking forward to the show!

I forgot to mention, I am from the area so if anyone coming to display a car or check out the show needs information about the area, roads, traffic parking, amenities, whatever, feel free to ask!

@JH27N0B I'll be driving up from rural Peoria IL. Never been to this. 55 north mostly. Any other advice/warnings would be nice. Thanks

Are you doing a day trip or staying over after the show?  80 to 55 to 294, then north and there is an exit right near the show.  294 is a tollway.  Right off the exit from 294 there is an outlet mall and you can park there for free, though it's a bit of a hike from the outlet mall to the convention center.
Otherwise, you park in a big parking garage across the street which costs around $17.50 a day.  If you buy your show tickets in advance online I believe you save $5.
The area with the convention center is a mini Las Vegas of sorts with a bunch of restaurants, an upscale movie theater, and even an indoor skydiving place.  A bunch of hotels there too.  There's even a casino which is a couple miles north of the convention center.
Sunday is some sort of Military day with free tickets for those with a valid military ID, I don't know the details but the MCACN website should explain that for those interested.

Not really up for shelling out the Chicago hotel rates, so I'll be driving back. Only about a 2-1/2 hour drive. Anyway, looking forward to meeting you. Will you have e-body apparel on?  I plan to.

I may have my E body shirt on, but with my yellow Staff jacket and MCACN baseball hat it will be hard to spot!

If you see this guy be sure to say "hi!"

Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Gary

We will be there with our blue 69 GTX super trackpak  convertible. I know it's not an e-body, but stop and say Hi anyway.  I don't have a t-shirt yet, but we'll be hanging  around the car.

7E-Bodies

Well if anyone sees a guy walking around with the e bodies shirt, bumping into walls while reviewing this thread, stop and say hi!
