Yeah the Hampton on Ritter rd. Is the one I stayed at- I saw quite a few trailers in the parking lot and easy drive to the fairgrounds- I'd recommend it as an option if you cant find anything in Carlisle.  Also I think I booked it late maybe Feb. or March before the show.

I stayed at the same Hampton Inn. Nice hotel but a little pricey.

Chambersburg is 35 minutes on the highway and that doesn`t include Carlisle show traffic, about 10 miles further than New Cumberland - too far for me.

We stay at the TownePlace Suites right there on Ritter.  We gotta stop at Dunkin on the way to the fairgrounds, so basically go straight down Carlisle Pike.  About 40 minutes with all of the lights.  I-81 would be quicker.

Can jump on the Turnpike after the show and about 15 minutes once you get to the turnpike entrance.  Lots of restaurants.  We can walk to Marzoni's from our hotel.

Hmmm coming from the west on 81 . . Won't be any Carlisle traffic.  I like this area and since I am usually on a budget . . 80 to 100 a night .. I will drive the extra 10 minutes to the show.  But I am open to suggestions . . Certainly don't want to pay anywhere near $200 a night when there is $80 available . .
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!
