Skip the rebuild and buy a new lower hinge.  There is alot of weight and pressure on the lowers.  The concern with rebuilding the lower hinge when the hole is elongated, is how do you know where the correct center line is when re-drilling and installing bushings?  If you don't find the correct center line, a binding hinge and premature wear is likely the result.

If it`s not too bad you can by with adjusting the back of the door a bit higher, also make sure your catch in the door isn`t sticking and the post isn`t worn out. I welded up my hinges 25 years ago and the welding rod seems to be holding up just fine, even if you are a hair off the factory centerline there is plenty of adjustment.

A proper rebuild is not "super easy"
Now I assume you do a top end, show car hinge refurbishment, cool, and I hear you do great work. But, come on, it's not that hard to do just the pins and bushings on a hinge.

I decided to test welding and redrilling. I used TIG and stainless steel, it's harder.
Next time I'll weld up the whole hole and drill, it was hard to center the drill with just half the hole welded.
But I got it done, and the door is perfect now, took an hour. It was very bad, I had to weld the pin also.
Lets see how long it lasts now...

This is what I do. Over 25 years Mopar only, I have over 1000 sets under my belt. No welding ( poor strength) redrilling, Bushings(never used, poor load capacity) I do them like the factory would have done. All new parts and No bushings. Check with members here and the other Mopar forums about me. Thank you for your business.[/font]
