I was really excited when ECS  announced last year they were releasing a repro correct trunk mat.
The ones available on the market for years have been mediocre, at best.  :barf:
They were taking orders at MCACN last November, so I ordered one. Expected shipping in February.
So I finally got an email today they are shipping this week!  I can't wait to see mine!  :lurking:

Thanks for the update.  I was getting ready to call and request a refund.
6 months for a pre-pay - not good.

I agree, 6 months isn't acceptable. But on the other hand, I've been waiting well over 6 years for someone to bring a decent mat to market. And with our cold wet winter and spring, it's not like I've been taking my car out anyway!
I've heard rumors Dave is terminally Ill, so that might factor into the equation too.

I heard that a while ago, any truth to that ?

I've just heard things second hand, that he has brain cancer or something similarly terrible.   :sorry:

Glad to hear they're shipping.  On the plus side, it's been so long that the amount I spent is nearly forgotten.  Hope the rumors of ill health are wrong.

I per-orders and I've been talking to them every few weeks for updates. It seems as though they weren't happy with the color of the first run that was printed. They were OK, but not perfect. So, from my standpoint, I'm glad they didn't ship out product they weren't 100% convinced was perfect. I don't mind waiting the extra 2 months because it is just a trunk mat...just don't open the trunk for 2 months!

Mine arrived yesterday. Haven't had a chance to unbox it yet.

Mine arrived yesterday too, I got it out of the box but haven't removed it from it's clear plastic bag, what I can see so far looks nice!

I ordered enough for all five of my ebodies when showing a car at MCACN.  The material is perfect, If the printing is the same as the sample piece I laid on the NOS mat that was in my trunk, history will have been made.  I literally could not see the sample sitting on the NOS mat, dare I say, it was perfect.  The cheezy rubber mats will go away for sure, mine will be deposited in the dumpster.

:worship:

I just checked ECS's website for a retail price but they haven't added this product yet. I would certainly add them to my customer's cars, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the extra cost for the extra quality. :alan2cents:

My hope is that this product doesn't become one of the restoration products we've seen come to market, only to disappear after a year or so because of low demand not justifying additional runs being made.
That being said, should I buy another one or two to stash away just in case?
