Need help - OEM rear Bumper with half circles cut in each end - what is it?

Need help....got this rear bumper for a 1970 cuda. Really nice shape but has these half circles cut into each end? Why? What model/year model is this bumper for or why the half circles?  Wanted to use it on my AAR but  doesn't look stock

Hard to see the holes in the photos, but is it the "jacking" slots that came on later E-Bodies?

the oblong cut out next to the half circle is for the 70/71 jack hook. The 72/74 had a vertical oblong cut out more in the middle of the bumper I believe

I believe what is being referenced is the half circles that are located on the bottom edge of the rear bumper at either end (circled in red).  I have an original '70 bumper that has the same half circles . . . I would have to check my '71 later to see if it has them as well . . . I am not sure what they are for.

I've never seen any Cuda with those cutouts in the bumper. There's no reason for them.

every picture I looked at had no half circles on the rear bumper. Claudia's picture on this thread was the only other bumper I have seen like this

Strange indeed. My first thought as to why those notches are there is for a tow bar. Then, I looked in "Authentic Restoration Guide Challenger & Barracuda" by Paul Herd. Page 202 states "Only one bumper, part number 2962350, was used on all 1970 Challenger models. No colored bumpers were available with this model this year. All Barracudas used part number 2962310." Does your bumper have a part number stamped on it?

While I can't address this particularly, they were often there for access to a mounting bolt where the blade bolted to the arms. Is it possible that they've made a more generic blade that crosses several years of production?

OK, I'm interested on what this is cause I can send it to my metal guy and fix it but if this is legit then I'll keep it.

So not to shake the cart but here is another example of a rear bumper that has the square bolt in the middle as well. What was this model?

I took a look at my '71 last night and it has the same half circle cutouts.
Used to access the rear valance bolts. I will get a couple of pictures.

Likely had a trailer hitch at one time...pretty common.
