My Friend Denny Laube owner of HDK Suspensions puts on one of the best car displays at the Mopar Nationals and I was just sent these pictures of a huge Rain Storm that came through a few hours ago and destroyed the huge tent that he puts up. Unfortunately several cars were already under the tent setting up for tomorrow and were damaged. The California Flash Duster  he owns and his Silver Hemi Duster were damaged, along with a few other close friends cars like two Hemi powered Demons, a hemi powered Dart and another California Flash Racer. I was told the Mopar Missile cars were ok.

That is horrible.  I feel sick just looking at the tent.   :(

To put it into perspective the tent is 120' X 40' and it's destroyed so it can't go back up for the weekend.

This is horrible :crying: Are the tents supplied by a tent company or something he owns and sets up himself ?  Either way I guess it really sucks...

Got word from my friend who sells collectibles that he lost the majority of his stuff due to water damage.  Blew through the tent, knocked everything to the ground, water everywhere.  Bummer indeed.

It's supplied by a company

Hopefully nobody was injured. There's no place to run for safety and hide (other than your car) at that show when the thunder-bumpers come through  :bricks:
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

What's the forecast for the rest of the weekend ? :fingerscrossed:

That's terrible, the weather has been so unpredictable lately and we are pretty helpless when we travel to a show for a weekend.

No one was injured but they said they were in the middle of the tent and were still getting wet, the rain was blowing sideways

Low 80's and sunny. I'm only going Friday then off to B/E&A Saturday AM to take Mike  a NOS 71' header panel I'm picking up tomorrow  for my car.

WOW. That really sucks. I'm glad no one was hurt. It's a shame those cars were damaged.  :(
