@JH27N0B does the testors really work?  I have several emblems to restore on my project and replacements are insane.

I believe that paint should work out OK.  For the environment my emblems are in, in my garage most of the time, the paint should hold out for a long time.  It's not like they will be out in the sun every day, getting rained on, snowed on or hailed on regularly!
I have models I've painted with Testors paints, and have never noticed any fading in the paint even after decades getting exposed to light in my house.
If nothing else, it was the best idea I had as I didn't want to replace otherwise nice condition emblems.  I used Testors dark red, which seems to match the red used on original emblems very close. At worst, I may have to touch them up some time in the future.

Last weekend.

Got the 6.1 test fit into the 69 Barracuda Fastback for the first time.   

Marks a significant milestone to the G3 Hemi Barracuda Project.
Still a long way to go but it sure is nice to see the engine and transmission fit in the car.

Such a beauty day here, I took the Challenger out for another rip. Filler her up with fuel just in case the weather turns and its away for the winter. Took a few shots for the calendar submission on the front lawn. I'm no photographer thats for sure....  The last one is the one I submitted?

Had a gorgeous sunny day in West Michigan today, so we busted the Cuda out for a color tour....

Silver Lake, Shelby, Newaygo, Norton Shores, North Muskegon, Whitehall, Montague, Shelby, back home... 4 hours, and 150 miles cruisin, with a lot of thumbs up along the way...

Tried and tested two different ways to install my new steering wheel.
Prefer the first way without home made spacer but horn mechanism can't be installed or produces a significant gap that has to be covered by my spacer for horn to work normally.
The cap that came with it fits perfectly but I want the Rim Blow fish cap that has the snap part shallower than the OEM type cap causing the gap.
Wonder if they make a Rim Blow fish cap that has a deeper snap part?

Power Steering will be EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering) powering a 16:1 Manual box from Firm Feel.

Manual disc brakes. 11.75" rotors up front ala 76 Cordoba Pin on style calipers and Jeep Grand Cherokee rear discs adapted to the narrowed B-body 8-3/4 rear end.

Haven't decided on a Master Cylinder yet.

I used testors insignia red on my hood emblems. Yes they do fade eventually, but so did the original paint.
Buy a jar of paint, and steady your hand and go at it. Keep toothpicks handy for touching up the areas where you stray outside the lines.....

Looks like quite a few of the folks here had the same good weather we did here in SW Ontario. I was up on the scaffolding when I had an epiphany and I asked the bride why the hell we were working when we could be taking the old gal out for what may be it's season swan song, and lo and behold, she agreed! Perfect timing too, the local Dairy Queen was having it's last day of the season and we managed to choke down a couple of Blizzards before we ran out to our friends in the country for a wine and chat. Just got home as it got dark!

Planning to drop a few hundred miles driving this Fri. and Sat
Company does it's own cars and coffee once a month. Will hit that in morning then end of season for a local show at Ruby's Diner in Whittier Ca. They end season with a Halloween themed show for the kids. Then topping it off Sat. morning at Woodley park Fall Fling.

Many of the miles will be in the dark so I was finally driven to improve my dash lighting. Also factory dimmer is barely functional. Knob has to be perfectly set for lights to work.
Gutted a spare housing and applied 2 LED bar lights. Also added a dimmer box for them.
Will need to adjust their position to the right later but wow what a difference...

Made a mounting bracket for the gas pedal since im doing a hemi swap and I also took off the old tint off the side glass
