What did you do with your ebody/Mopar today?

I have been  :headbang: chasing a vibration in my 70 gran coup. I had a bad tire, replaced it better but sill there. front rim had curb damage, replaced it and the vibration was at a higher speed. got four new torque thrust rims, road force balanced, now i could get up around 70ish before the vibration would kick in. I finally got an open stall and a chance to look further. I jack it up, placed jackstands under it. as soon as i got under the car i noticed the drive shaft is a straight tub,not necked down at the rear. learned that from this forum. Ah ha not original shaft. while removing the shaft, I noticed there are NO weight's on it. It is now been sent out some 60 miles away to get checked out. What are the chances of someone grabbing a tube, welding the yokes on and it balanced out perfect. I think i found the source of the problem!  :foul:

Finished up making a bracket to mount my ignition box under the dash using only factory holes.

Someone similar to me. I try and utilize factory holes for all my addons.

What tires are you using , I have seen perfectly balanced BFgarbage with 1/4 step in the tread causing a lot of vibration , make sure the tires are round  :bigthumb:

@Chryco Psycho They are BF Goodrich, They were road force balanced. I am still waiting to hear from fleet pride. What are the chances of someone taking a tube,welding on yokes and having it be perfect. no weights needed. If you saw some of the things the chimps did putting this car together, oil pressure sending unit in the intake manifold.  temp censer wire hooked to the alternator, fried the gauge and the list went on. NOT road worthy, And this car was sold at Barret/ Jackson like that. So an out of balance drive shaft would fit the theme the chimpanzees were going for.  :headbang:

FWIW,  Had a vibration at highway speeds. Drive shaft was too short, trans yoke splines only engaged by 5/8"-3/4". The trans yoke was hanging way out from the transmission. New longer drive shaft fixed it.

Worth checking the driveshaft for sure , Takes nothing to raise the car & spin the tires also to make sure they are round , I have seen a lot that are not

I am adding a rear sway bar to my 74 so I sandblasted the diff brackets as well as my fan shroud brackets and threw a coat of primer on them.

Great to meet you guys today! Wish I could have brought the Challenger out, but it's probably better I didn't. Drove it around some when I got home, and got a little ticking as I arrived back at the house, after 5-10 miles. Looks like I'll probably be doing lifters sometime this winter.

Actually yesterday but who's counting
Great Tuxie's Drive In Cruise Night in Riverside, CA happening since the early 50's
Was introduced to it by Al now that I live in Riverside he felt I should show my e-body as little Mopars show up to that event.
To boot he also thought I could win a trophy and to my pleasant surprise I did.  :banana:
Of course I represented E-bodies.org as well I could.
