Finished up changing the valve springs. Nice crisp spring day and was great to get out in the garage for a bit.

Finally close to 60 degrees here in NW Ohio on a weekend, so I took the car cover off and started our '74 up.  Of course, while it was running I thought I might as well take her out and run around town on a quick trip. 8)

All the looks, stares and pointing never get old!!   :thankyou:

Son Nick and I swapped the two blocks I got back (finally) from the machinist over onto the good engine stand and dragged the spare one up-gruunnt- the stairs into storage. The stroker build begins and the worse part, is finding all the damn pieces that I've squirreled away over the years, now that I'll need them! Wish me luck laddies and don't think this'll happen over night, either! LOL
PS- anybody got a set of 360 4.040" pistons for a 4" stoke crank that they'd sell?
In the immortal words of Jimmy Scott- "pace yourself!"

Partially disassembled steering column, pulled collapse can off and removed directional switch, will continue, adding new aftermarket rimblow made steering column look pretty dingy, .....

Removed grill and separated egg crate section from grill, will remove argent paint, working on converting to black...

Removed standard dash and began polishing the clear plastic, adding tachometer in empty clock position

Got packages in mail for front brakes. Worked on front pumper relocation.
Also considering myself lucky. I backed in car to do brakes and cut it close with re-chromed wind wing frames from another project.

Hope it's not to serious? Mine made a lot of heat when it was new. When I brought my rear end to a shop to have the gears ratio changed they said the pinion gear was too tight.

Trying to get some plastic off my ceramic coated headers.

It's doable but a pain in the ass. Heat them back up, either acetone or Easy Off will do it.

Yup I've been picking away on this Javelin parts car, it's almost free of it's icy tomb. Couple more days and I can move it then really get going on it then get it outta here. Somehow the Wife is not to thrilled having a rusty wreck in the way of her flower garden?  :notsure: :D
